Nottingham Trent University is one of the first UK higher education institutions to sign the Social Mobility Pledge, which sees companies and institutions commit to working with local schools and colleges, offer work placements and apprenticeships and adopt open recruitment policies. Professor Eunice Simmons, deputy vice-chancellor at Nottingham Trent University said that NTU understands its role and responsibility supporting students and helping them succeed in higher education regardless of background.
