Nottingham Trent University has appointed a new human resources director and Pro Vice-Chancellor for student affairs.
Jayne Billam will take up her post as human resources director on April 4 from the University of Lincoln where she currently holds the equivalent role. She joined Lincoln in 2002 as HR Manager, progressing to Deputy Director and then, in 2006, becoming Director. Her previous career has included HR roles within the NHS and Boots.
The university has also announced that Professor Martin McGinnity will become Head of the College of Science and Technology and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs) from August 1. Martin joined Nottingham Trent University as Dean of the School of Science and Technology in March 2014. In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership for the College, encompassing the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Science and Technology, as well as holding portfolio responsibility for student affairs across the university, including student support services.
