Engineering researchers at the University of Hull have secured £1.27 million in funding for a project which seeks to improve carbon capture technology. The funding, from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), will support researchers at Hull, Imperial College London, the University of Leeds and Newcastle University in their efforts to significantly improve the technology used by power plants for capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) before it is released into the atmosphere.
