The Higher Education Funding Council for England is calling on institutions to put forward bids for funding of up to £500,000 to run schemes aimed at boosting teaching and learning or at removing barriers to student success.
Projects aimed at helping students – including those with learning difficulties or mental health problems - achieve their potential could attract funding of up to £500,000 each. A minimum of three institutions need to be involved in each project. Schemes designed to improve teaching and learning could be funded up to a total of £50,000 each and HEFCE is particularly interested in inter-disciplinary work and responses to “employer demand”. Both types of grants would be made from HEFCE’s Catalyst Fund.
