This paper examines the retrospective satisfaction of graduates with their higher education choices, using data from the 36,090 English-domiciled graduate respondents to the 2010-11 longitudinal Destination of Leavers of Higher Education survey. It looks at the variation in the frequency with which graduates from different groups say they would make different choices if they were able to revisit them -- including subjects, institutions or qualifications – or choose not to enter higher education and do something completely different. It also looks at the potential effect of other variables such as school type and entry qualifications.
