The former vice-chairman of an international investment bank has been named as the new chair of the company which administers student loans.
Chris Brodie, the former vice-chairman of UBS Investment Bank and Chair of Council at the University of Sussex, has been appointed Non-Executive Chair of the Student Loans Company by English, Welsh, Northern Irish and Scottish Ministers.
Mr Brodie retired from his role at the Swiss bank in July 2013. He succeeds Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bath, who stepped down as interim Chair of the Student Loans Company last month.
